ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the organisation's accounting policy and standard procedures are adhered to
- Maintain and perform financial accounting functions, periodic trading statements and other financial accounts
- Prepare statements for management - budgets (monthly/annual), cash flow forecast and tax returns
- Maintain records of financial transactions such as account receivable, payable, bank balances, accruals, fixed assets register etc.
- Ensure balancing of financial transactions into ledger after validations or coding on to appropriate data processing forms
- Prepare and ensure timely closing of accounts and monthly reconciliations for accounts payable, monthly GST submission
- Prepare monthly/bi-monthly/annual inventory reconciliation between the Inventory Control and Ledger accounting
- Perform tracing of transactions through previous accounting actions to determine sources of discrepancies
- Follow up on payment or check and match invoices against all necessary documents and prepare cheque payments
- Update of ageing reports
- Administer and perform any other ad hoc matters as assigned by organisation
- Prepare monthly activities updates or reports and submit to supervisor
- Candidate must possess Degree, Diploma or ACCA in accounting or equivalent member of recognised professional bodies
- Preferably with minimum 3 years of working experience in handling project accounts and marine accounts
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
